WELCOME TO LIFESTYLEABROAD

We are a boutique firm, affiliated with a prestigious international real estate company.

Many Americans recognize Portugal as a remarkable opportunity in comparison to the steep costs of living and real estate in cities like New York, Miami, or even London. With its attractive value proposition, coupled with a safe, stable environment, promising investment opportunities, and diverse Visa options, Portugal is increasingly capturing the interest of US buyers.

However, for American citizens residing on another continent, the question arises: where to start? Lifestyleabroad introduces a Concierge service tailored to assist US buyers, offering access to premier agent representation and expert advice from a spectrum of professionals including attorneys, immigration specialists, mortgage bankers, architects, and more.

ABOUT ME

Hello! I am Ronnie Rosenberg...

In the past five years ( with the exception of 2020) I was fortunate enough to be able to travel to Europe a couple of times a year to visit friends and live not as a tourist but as someone who can just appreciate the European culture – live like a local, sitting at a cafe, whether in France, Greece or Portugal,  enjoying some regional delights and delicious wines.

I found solace and inspiration in exploring the globe. Travel isn’t just a hobby for me it’s a way of life,  each destination adding a new layer of cultural insight and adventure. However, it’s the sun-kissed shores and rich heritage of Portugal that have captured my heart.

Passionate about all things Portuguese, (currently learning Portuguese!) I have become an advocate for sharing the beauty of this vibrant country with the world. Whether it’s recommending hidden gems in Lisbon, discussing the allure of Porto’s historic architecture and Douro Valley wineries, or indulging in the sun and beaches of Cascais, my  enthusiasm for Portugal is infectious.

Having been a real estate agent in New York for many years and having navigated the most difficult markets for my clients, I’ve come to recognize how important it is to get to know your clients and understand the lifestyle they lead and where they envision themselves in the future.

For those who dream of living abroad, I am proud to announce my affiliation with Christies’ International, Porta De Frente in Portugal.  Whether you’re seeking your next real estate investment or planning your next adventure, I am happy to be your go – to expert for all things property and Portuguese.

THIS IS OUR PROCESS

Lifestyle abroad will take you through the process and offers an array of personalized services for home purchasing and moving abroad:

Let’s chat!  I want to understand the client’s requirements thoroughly.  Why do they want to own a property in Portugal?  Do they want to retire there?  Are they just looking for a vacation home?  This is the most important step” emphasizes Ronnie. “It’s my opportunity to grasp my client’s vision for their life in Portugal”  This is where the decision is made that they are ready for the journey.

My partnership with Christie’s international in Portugal is a value-added benefit to the client.  Experienced and knowledgeable agents will help the client identify properties that fit their criteria.

The next step is of course, see the properties! Depending on the timing, I always try to accompany the client during property viewings.

Facilitating introductions to quality immigration and contract lawyers, mortgage advisors, and tax consultants.

Hands-on assistance with moving logistics, cultural adaptation, healthcare needs and personalized lifestyle recommendations to ensure a smooth transition to Portugal.

Will you need an architect to restore some of the beauty of the property?  What about an interior designer?  Clients will have access to our trusted network of service providers for all renovations and designing projects.

By phone, text, and video conferencing to provide continuous support to clients.

Lifestyleabroad will be there for the whole process and beyond to ensure a smooth and anxiety free purchasing experience. Welcome to Portugal!

FEATURED NEIGHBORHOODS

Porto City Centre

The historic center of Porto is a must see. Check out the amazing restaurants, self guided tours of the Ribeira district, the Douro River, the best bookstores, museums, parcs, and I could go on and on. You can always find a wine tasting somewhere! Not to mention the incredible architecture.

Massarelos

Only a short uber or bus ride away, this neighborhood just West of the Porto City Center offers picturesque walks along the Douro, food markets, historic buildings, and is only a 15 minute or so walk to the Atlantic.

Matosinhos

This neighborhood in Northern Porto offers a mix of delights. It is an interesting alternative to living in Porto. You will find the beaches, the restaurants and tons to do. Even though the summer can be crowded with tourists soaking up the sun, it is still a special place. Stay at the O’Valentim hotel and eat in their rooftop restaurant.

Foz Do Douro

Affluent Foz do Douro is a seafront area known for its sandy beaches, like Praia da Luz and Praia do Homem do Leme, and eclectic restaurants serving global and Portuguese food. Walking distance from Porto, check out the Villa Foz, a super fantastic spa that serves lunch and dinner in a beautiful castle.

Aveiro

The Portuguese equivalent to Venice, on the West coast of Portugal, maritime Aveiro is perched on the shores of a coastal lagoon. It is noted for its colorful maritime boats.

Nova de Gaia

Situated on the far bank of the Douro from Porto’s Ribeira district is Vila Nova de Gaia (or just Gaia). On the other end of Porto’s famous Dom Luis bridge, it is known for it’s “port.” This is where all the port wine in the world originates.

Cascais

The “Riviera” of Portugal. This stunning seaside beach ( resort) town is only 35 minutes from Lisbon. The Real Estate is not cheap, but the town is extra special with beautiful beaches, marinas, outdoor dining everywhere and notably, the best ice cream in Portugal.

Ericeira

Do you surf? A sleepy town with fabulous waves and a cool vibe. It is a real community. Winter may be tough to hang out there but when the weather warms up it’s a charming neighborhood.

Lisbon

People ask me, should I go to Lisbon or Porto? I say…BOTH! Lisboa has everything you want in a European City, stunning architecture, excellent gastronomy ( practically every nice restaurant is a Michelin chef) and a lively nightlife. A lot to explore!
